about us welcome to CLOUTS! we're a global faux community, however most characters currently reside in los angeles, california! our goal is to provide a creative environment to bring all walks of life together with a twist!

what's the twist you may ask? we'd like to keep the fp a place where your characters interactions may be watched, noticed and added into the bi-weekly gossip column. the goal is for a fun, interactive creative platform where interaction on main is encouraged! we will also be taking volunteers and cycling out a number of "moles" monthly to scrounge for any juicy gossip details. there will also be an opt out option but please keep in mind, this comm is about creating connections openly!

setting up usernames both ic and ooc usernames are allowed. we just ask that you shy away from the use of numbers, underscores or letters in excess.

credits we are now a mix and match claims community, meaning you may pull credits from multiple filmographies. there are several rules and factors to keep in mind, so please see below:

directing/producing/writing credits: you MUST claim the entire body of work. you are not required to use their acting/music credits, and you may add additional if it's realistic.
modeling credits: you MUST claim the entire body of work. you are not required to use their acting/music credits, and you may add additional if it's realistic
musician credits: you MUST claim their entire discography. you are not required to use their acting/music credits, and you may add additional if it's realisic

important: please be realistic with credits. not everyone wins an award for each of their films, let alone MOST of them. also, keep in mind filming and touring schedules to some extent.

we are open to you using the same pb as some of your credits but you must drastically change their backstory. if we feel like you're playing harry styles but only changing his name then you will be rejected. for musicans, modeling, and writer/director/producer credits, you may simply place a link in your character's bio. for additional tv/film credits, you must list each claim. ~pro is an excellent resource for faux bios.

as always, credits must follow the five (5) year rule in order to be allowed.

joining as a nepo baby is also allowed, in which case you will build the parent claims just as if they were a member joining. we just ask that you do your research on who you choose as the parental figure and to please shy away from any that may have been tied up in any scandals that may trigger someone.

realism when choosing credits we also expect some level of realism as far as really reviewing your characters credits and have some sort of grasp on their tour schedules, award show appearences, etc. another important component is understanding the level of your credits fame, if you're joining with justin bieber credits the likelyhood of him having only 300 likes on a social media post is extremely unlikely, we just want to make sure everyones credits are being properly represented!

character information doesn't have to be substantial. 100 (minimum) words on their history or personality, as well as the basics: name, age, occupation, hometown, where they live now, et cetera. this is in addition to linking and listing credits.

in character and out of character post are needed. you should be familiar with what both of these are. please backdate both and make sure we can see them both when you apply.

intros depending on the number of applications at a given time, we will post an intro ffa. that way your fp isn't crowded with intro's at one time. if you're a little late to the party, a basic intro may be posted. all intro's must be posted within 48 hours of being added.

updates the activity cycle starts on the first of every month and ends on the last day, during this time each member will be required to update their journal at least one (1) time. this entry must be interactive (instagram, playlists, moodboard, ffa's, etc. any additional updates are more than welcome in the form of narratives, other comments-off entries, or another interactive post.

the second form of activity is up to the member. you may use a second update like a narrative, but there are alternative options: a combination of eight (8) posts made by you/comments on posts by new/potential members in pbads to create and bring in new lines or ten (10) public comment threads on the friends page with at least 4 replies. if you choose this option, please keep track of your posts and submit them in the member dropbox. all updates must be visible on the friends page in order to count toward activity and must be turned in to the activity dropbox.

if you are added the 1st-14th of the month, your intro will NOT count as your one update. if you are added between the 15th and the end of the month, your intro WILL count as your one update.

extensions & hiatuses we will not grant extentions if we haven't seen you active on the fp within a weeks time. if granted one the extension will last up to 10 days after your update's due date.

wire & discord all apps are banned.

rule changes/rejections we reserve the right to reject anyone we feel isn't the right fit for out community. applying to clouts means that you have read and agree to the rules. please note that the rules are subject to change, and we will always announce these changes on the friends page. if there is anything that you are unclear of, drop a comment on the dropbox and we will be more than happy to address any questions or concerns!
